Allan R. Tessler is the CEO of International Financial Group, an international merchant banking firm. With a specialization in the area of turnaround financing, Mr. Tessler combines extensive management experience with proficiency in corporate and securities legal matters.
He is the lead Director and Chairman of the Finance Committee of L Brands (LB-NYSE); a Director of TD Ameritrade (AMTD-NYSE); a director of Steel Partners Holding GP (SPLP-NYSE), and, is the lead director of Imperva (IMPV-NYSE). In February 2012 Mr. Tessler became the Chairman and CEO of Teton Financial Services and Chairman of Rocky Mountain Bank Jackson, Wyoming. He is Chairman Emeritus of the Board of the Hudson Institute, Washington, D.C and a member of the Board of Governors of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
Mr. Tessler was the Chairman of Epoch Holding Corporation, an investment management firm that was recently sold to Toronto Dominion Bank. He served as Co-CEO and Chairman of Data Broadcasting Corporation, now known as Interactive Data Corporation and Chairman of Enhance Financial Services Group, Inc. (NYSE) an insurance holding company he co-founded which was merged into Radian Corp (NYSE). Mr. Tessler was Chairman and a principal shareholder of Great Dane Holdings, a company that manufactured tractor trailers and automobile stampings, as well as controlling a property casualty insurer and transportation companies. He is on the board of or a substantial investor in a number of development companies in the areas of cardiology and vascular medicine.
Mr. Tessler received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and his L.L.B. from Cornell University Law School. He served in the United States Navy, where he attained the rank of Lieutenant, Junior Grade.
